Yes! Subbuteo is alive in Hong Kong. Thanks to Antonio Carabillo', an Italian-born who lives in Hong Kong since 1997, the greatest table football can be played here.
We got two locations to play: Hung Hom and Tung Chung ( Lantau Island, next to Hong Kong Airport).
If anybody is interested to play or join the Club, please contact Antonio at email@example.com.
The Hong Kong Dragons Subbuteo Club is now up and running. The club officially has only 2 players for the moment but hopefully more and more interest will be created in the next few months. Antonio Carabillo from Italy and local player Yuki Chong are the two members of the HKDSC. For any information about the club, feel free to contact Antonio Carabillo at firstname.lastname@example.org
Antonio Carabillo is the only player ranked in the FISTF tables of July 2009. Right now he's 581st in the Open ranking, which includes more than 1400 players from all over the world.
On June 28, 2009, Antonio Carabillo (in the middle of the picture) played another FISTF Satellite tournament in Singapore. This time, the tournament had a great field of 32 players including Robert Smith from Australia. Antonio lost in the last 16 round to Yusni Den Mulia who later won the tournament final.
On February 22, 2009 Antonio Carabillo took part to the FISTF Satellite tournament in Singapore. Along with Mike Dent (Malaysia), he was the only foreign player to take part but he did well as he reached the semi-finals. At the stage of the tournament, he lost to Tan Kok Wee, the president of the Singapore association. Yusni Den Mulia was the winner of the tournament as he later beat Tan Kok Wee in the big final. On the picture: the semifinalists of the tournament.
